How frost can damage clay tiles

As clay tiles become older they become very porous. The moisture in the tiles when it freezes expands which causes damage to the tile itself.

You can see that a number of tiles on this roof have reduced in size and become thin and brittle. A majority of these defected tiles will have to be taken out and replaced.

Being the covering for any property, it’s prudent to get it checked – it will only get worse  and deteriorate over time!
